Dr. Gross, President Elect of the Georgia Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery

Dr. Alexander Gross, M.D. of the Georgia Dermatology Center was elected to serve as the new Georgia President Elect of Georgia Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery (GSD). Dr. Gross served as the Treasurer for the organization in the 2011-2012 term.

The Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery is a statewide association that was established in 1958 and has a current membership of over 160 physicians. The organization strives to enhance the quality of human life by supporting an environment in which dermatologists can provide the highest quality of care. It also provides representation to the Medical Association of Georgia and the American Academy of Dermatology.

The Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery’s Mission is to promote the practice of quality medical and surgical dermatology, as well as dermatopathology, by supporting a collegial environment in which the dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons and dermatopathologists throughout the state of Georgia shall interact to:

  1. Further education
  2. Promote skin health and patient access to quality care, and
  3. Organize politically to ensure that the highest quality of dermatologic care remains available in our state and in our country.
